There is still place for traditional analog mixers and equalizers. We’ve been making them for over 40 years. We use Class A mic preamps on our mixers, Wein-Bridge filters and wear-resistant faders on our equalizers. Quiet and capable of wide dynamic range without clipping, our analog products remain classic problem solvers for live and fixed installs.
Designed to be used by itself or as a supplement
to larger mixing consoles, the MX-206 provides
superior audio performance in a single rack-space
package. Equally at home in either fixed or portable
installations, the MX-206 may be used anywhere
where additional microphone inputs are needed.
Typical applications include live sound reinforcement,
broadcast, recording, and film/video production.
The MX-206 is a rack-mountable six input channel
stereo microphone mixer offering up to 84dB of gain
for distant mic placements or extremely low-level
signals. Ultra low-noise, studio-grade discrete mic
preamps are utilized. Each channel has a switchable
20dB pad, a 3-position mic gain switch input level
and pan controls, and clip LED indicators, 48V
phantom power may be switched in for use with
condenser mics. A separate Stereo Line In volume
control adjusts line level sources, such as a CD or MP3
player, connected to rear-panel RCA inputs or portable
audio source connected to the 3.5mm jack located on
the front panel. Since plenty of headroom has been
designed into the MX-206, even the loudest signals
can be handled without distortion.
Output is monitored via two 5-segment, multi-colored
LED meters, along with separate Peak Clip Indicators.
The transformer-isolated XLR balanced mono output
is capable of driving +24dBu into 600 Ohms, and
separate stereo TRS 1/4" outputs may be used either
balanced or unbalanced. A Stereo Line Out is available
on RCA jacks.
